Rendition In Favor Of Books Ondskan

Evaluation Out Of Books Ondskan
Didnt know Swedish literature could be this good, Im shooketh!

This book, "The Evil", is one of those books that sucked me in and left a lasting impact on me. Erik is a smart boy who's getting beat up by his dad every day and beats up others at school every day. He gets a chance to finally ditch the violence as he starts at a new middle school, but that turns out not really to be a possibility, as he's simply substituted his dad's tyranny for another. Many extremely violent scenes, contrasted with Erik's incredibly intelligent thoughts, plans and schemes,

I read this as part of a project we're about to write at uni. The project is about evil, so this book is certainly fitting. When I bought it, the sales person told me "That's a really good book". And he was right. It's brilliant. The danish translation is a bit icky at times, but the story itself is incredible. And it's a violent book, at the centre of it you find abuse and degradation. But it's also intelligent. Something that comes through in Erik's internal dialogue, and in the conversations

I saw the movie years ago and its violence left a lasting impression on me but I had no idea - or couldn't remember - that it was based on a slightly autobiographical book. Then one day I was offered the book and I took it.It took me a few days to get past the first few dozen pages of beatings - not a great start. The story managed to finally grip me when actually positive things started to happen and when Erik started questioning himself and the way of life he'd chosen for himself. It's not a

I liked it a lot more this time than the first time I read it. I read it in high school and I remember really hating it. But Im glad I gave it a second chance as I really liked it this time around!

We read this book in my Swedish class, and I was very pleasantly surprised. This book was great to discuss as it took up a lot of heavy topics. I thought this book was written in a brilliant way and I am hoping to read more by Guillou in the future.

It was kinda boring but in the end it was ok I guess...
