Personally I have never visited the Vietnam Veterans Memorial (yet, I will do one day) but have long had an interest in this area of our history. Having read certain accounts of the war and the polarizing effect it had on much of our society, I never would have believed equally divisive troubles could have led to such difficulty in erecting the monument, and lets face it, those brave men and women would suffered through this war deserve at the very least a memorial to their sacrifice. Excellent book that provides detailed insight into the mechanisms of government bureaucracy when the government attempts to micromanage something.I met Bob Duoubek in May 2015 at a veteran's meeting on the Holland America Panama Canal Cruise on board the Amsterdam.
