A girl name Carly gets picked on for being a scaredy-cat. Tired of everyone mocking her, she decides for Halloween she's going to get the scariest costume around. I liked it. It wasn't the best thing in the world, but it was entertaining enough. I felt it did drag in some places, and Carly's tendency to get scared is annoying. But overall, not too bad. 2.75 frights outta five!
"If looks could kill..." Classic loved it, every time I smell a book I think of this, I have read it quite a few time over the years and will continue to do so...
Wow, this one was so much fun! I think it is my favourite so far. The set up didn't take too long, and it took a few twists and turns I didn't expect. Plus, it's set on Halloween. I'm realizing with these books, I often enjoy them more when there are the about one or two characters in the story. Here we do have a friend group (or should I say "friend" group - some of them were very mean!), and although they are 100% integral to the story I still felt that this was very strongly centred on the
I remember seeing this as a TV episode years ago. I forgot how irritating Carly Beth was.
Carly Beth's "friends" were little assholes, that's all you need to know.
Just reading this one for nostalgia's sake. This is one of those books though that seems great when you're twelve, but that loses its spark by the time you're eighteen. Still though, this book and the others in the Goosebumps series were a big inspiration to me as a kid. :)
